"Growing as committed disciples of Jesus Christ" is an important part of our church's vision statement, and is the guiding principle for this group. This team is responsible for creating educational opportunities that meet the varied needs of the members of our congregation, from preschool through adult. Our goal is to identify members with leadership skills and to provide them with the necessary tools to become successful facilitators and/or teachers. If education is a priority for you, contact Carol Cockrell, Team Leader, to find out more about this ministry and visit our Christian Education and Discipling page.
If you enjoy hands-on, dirt-under-your-nails type of activities, this is the group for you! From planning church work days, building maintenance and upkeep projects, and landscape care, this team takes pride in keeping God's House looking its best. Please contact Frankie Fuge, Facility Team Leader, for information on how you can help.
Ministering to the church family is the focus of this team. We organize groups that care for members who are hurting and are in need, from the elderly or disabled needing yard work, to providing meals for those recently discharged from the hospital. We also provide many fun events that foster congregational bonding. And since Lutherans enjoy breaking bread together, you will often find delicious food as well as great socializing at fellowship- sponsored events. Contact Brenda Pratt, Team Leader, for more information.
Reaching out to our community in innovative and meaningful ways is the goal of this dedicated and creative team. From "Pet Blessings" to the "Community Corn Feed" we are continually looking for ways to invite the community to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, and to share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ. Visit the Outreach Team page to find out more information about this ministry, or contact Jim Smith, Team Leader. "But how are they to call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"" Romans 10: 14-15

The Stewardship Action Team operates from the Biblical foundational principle that God blesses us so that we may be a blessing to others. All that we have is from God and God calls upon us to share our blessings for the church's mission and ministry. The Stewardship Team offers opportunities for members to share time and talent and challenges each member to move toward and beyond the tithe (10% of income) as a guidepost for generous giving.
The Stewardship Team, working with our Lay Ministry Coordinator Beth Dehaven, helps members both discover their God-given giftedness and provides ways for members to share their gifts with the congregation and beyond. God gifts us and then calls us to become a generous and giving people. This is what Stewardship means at Prince of Peace! For information on our next team meeting please contact Elaine Huy.
We have created powerful and meaningful worship experiences that meet the various needs of our members, while honoring and praising God. The creative and talented minds in this group plan special music, dramatic segments for Advent and Lenten services, and assure the smooth flow of worship by careful planning. See the Worship Team page for more information. Would you enjoy being part of the creative process? Contact Team Leader Gail Ernst.
