Children & Youth: God's gift to the church of today and tomorrow...

Children & Youth in Worship

Children and youth particpate  worship in a variety of ways. Children, Ages 3-10, are invited to  Kingdom Time at  Sunday worship. Youth are frequently involved in the service as greeters, ushers, acolytes, and worship assistants. The youngest among them is welcome to spend time in the nursery with a loving care provider.

Children's Library

Offers children and youth  a place of their own, providing  Christian oriented books and materials to help inspire, comfort and affirm their faith.

ELCA Youth Gathering happens in 2018... the Gathering: The Gathering is a five-day event. During this time thirty thousand youth and adult leaders will rotate through projects to help Houston neighborhoods recover from Hurricane Harvey.

The Gathering Theme: The Gathering theme is from Ephesians 2:8: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." Planners for the Gathering, "want young people (or really any age person!) to truly claim this reality and know it indeed changes everything."

POP youth looking forward to attending!
