Caring Ministries

"Stichin' & Yarnin' for the Lord"

This group met for the first time in January 2012 and have remained super busy. In just six months from their first meeting,  for example, they completed forty prayer shawls and thiry prayer squares that were blessed and delivered to the chaplains at Mercy Hospital.  And each year the number of  completed prayer shawls/sqaures continues to grow. The ladies also  crochet caps for the homeless and military personnel.
If you crochet, knit (like to learn) or want to come for fellowship and share a "yarn" they would love to have you to be a part of this ministry. They meet monthly on the first Tuesday , 6:30 pm in the lower level Sewing Room.

Check "GET INVOLVED"  for names and numbers of "yarners" and care team.

Congregational Care Team

Prince of Peace is a congregation that cares for each other.  This is evident in the many ways in which the Congregational Care Team works to provide and coordinate intentional ministry opportunities of prayer, home and hospital visits, homebound communion, the Sunshine Card Ministry, and hands on assistance with needs, such as, meals, transportation, yardwork, minor  home repairs/mainteance,  or a listening ear.
